Ainori
恋愛観察バラエティー あいのり
Ren'ai kansatsu baraetī ainori
Ainori is a reality television program on Fuji TV in which young singles travel the world together. It began its broadcast on October 11, 1999. Originally, its official title was "Renai Chikyuu Ryokou Ainori" (恋愛地球旅行 あいのり), but its current title is "Renai Kansatsu Variety Ainori" (恋愛観察バラエティー あいのり). The name "Ainori" means "ride together," though it is sometimes interpreted as "love ride."

The show's seven participants travel together through various countries. In each country, their primary means of transportation is a pink bus, known as the "love wagon," which is usually a painted Toyota Hiace. The driver is a native of the country they are in and also serves as their tour guide.

The goal of each participant is to find love with another participant, though they are not allowed to discuss their love interests with each other. When one of them believes that he or she has found love, that participant asks the driver for tickets back to Japan, then confesses to the object of their affection and asks him or her to return to Japan as a couple. That person then gives a response the next morning. If the person accepts, the two return to Japan together. If the person declines, the confessor returns to Japan alone and is replaced on the show with a new participant.
