Sukima Suicchi
The pop duo Sukima Switch was formed in 1999. Takuya Ohashi is the vocalist and plays the guitar and harmonica, while Shintaro Tokita plays several other instruments, including the piano and organ, while also handling the overall sound treatment. The duo is signed under the Office Augusta division of BMG.

Sukima Switch began doing live performances in Shinjuku and Shibuya in 2001. In 2002, Sukima Switch performed on a substage at Augusta Camp (held at the Chiba Marine Stadium with over 30,000 attendees) and their popularity spread by word-of-mouth.

In July of 2003, they released their first single, "view". It received heavy airplay, and in September, Sukima Switch released their debut mini-album, Kimi no Hanashi. In March 2004, they released their second single, "Kanade", which entered the Oricon singles chart at #22.

Their rise in popularity continued: in June, they released both the single "Furete Mirai wo" and their full debut album Natsugumo Noise. Natsugumo Noise entered the Oricon albums chart at #2, and tickets for Sukima Switch's subsequent tour sold out the day they went on sale. Meanwhile, their 4th single, "Fuyu no Kuchibue" reached #6 on the Oricon singles chart.

In 2005, they released two more singles, "Zenryoku Shonen" (#3) and "Ame Machi Kaze" (#7), as well as their second album, Kuusou Clip, which entered at #1 on the Oricon albums chart.

Since then, Sukima Switch has continued to produce hit singles. In April 2006, their single "Boku Note" was the opening theme to the movie Doraemon: Nobita no Kyoryu, and their single "Garana" was the theme to the film Rough. Another of their songs, "Sphere no Hane", was selected as the theme for the 2006 summer Koshien tournament.
