The TV Celebrity Image ratings are a research service provided by Video Research Ltd. The research is conducted via survey twice every year, in February and in August.

The ratings evaluate celebrities who are primarily active in television. The data consists of three areas: awareness, popularity, and image.

The survey demographics are as follows:

• Number of questionnaires: 1,200 (600 male, 600 female)
• Age: 10 to 59
• Area: within a 30km radius of Tokyo
