Tommy heavenly6
Tommy heavenly6
Tommy heavenly6 is a persona used by musician Tomoko Kawase of the brilliant green, and it is an alter-ego of Kawase's other persona, Tommy february6. Kawase had intended Tommy february6 to be a seemingly innocent character who in actuality did as she wanted, but the development of the character eventually disappointed Kawase. As a result, she created the more alternative Tommy heavenly6 (while still maintaining Tommy february6). The new persona was a much more complete realization of Kawase's original concept - someone who did as she pleased and was entirely true to herself.
Tommy heavenly6 debuted on July 16, 2003, when Kawase released the single Wait till I can dream simultaneously with Tommy february6's Love is Forever. The PVs for the singles demonstrate the complementary nature of the personas - the end of each PV flows smoothly into the start of the other, creating a loop. Tommy heavenly6's second single came nearly a year later, with the single Hey my friend. The single and its B-side, Roller coaster ride, were used in the film Kamikaze Girls as an ending and opening theme, respectively.
Kawase finally released a full album as Tommy heavenly6 on August 24, 2005.
