13th annual Nikkan Sports Drama Grand Prix

Last week, Nikkan Sports revealed the winners of its 13th annual Drama Grand Prix awards. The live-action “Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge” series was the big winner, picking up three of the five awards available.

In addition to being named Best Drama, “Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge” also won in the categories for Best Actor (Kazuya Kamenashi) and Best Supporting Actress (Aya Omasa). This echoes the results of the winter quarter awards, when “Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge” won the same three awards.

For Best Actress, Yuki Amami was voted number one for her role in “BOSS.” Best Supporting Actor went to Masaaki Uchino from “JIN.”

The nominees for the year’s awards were the top five in each category from each individual season, between April 2009 and March 2010. The total number of votes received and the complete rankings have not yet been announced.
