175R to go on hiatus at end of year

The 4-member rock band 175R announced on their official website that they are going on hiatus after a short tour this December. The band has been together since 1998, though they didn’t make their major label debut until 2003.

175R’s tour in December will start on December 16 in Shibuya. After that, they will play in Nagoya and Osaka, then finish in Fukuoka on December 28.

The band commented that they don’t see the hiatus as a negative thing. Instead, they are looking at it as a time to polish themselves. However, the band has not set a specific time for their return.
