VIZ Media has announced that it will be releasing the hit film Train Man (also known as Densha Otoko) this September. Theatrical premieres will start in New York with other major cities to follow. A DVD release is scheduled for January 2007, and VIZ is also publishing the companion manga series starting this October. There will be a special preview showing of the film this Saturday at Anime Expo at 7:30pm.

According to Johnny's Jimusho, actor/singer Tomohisa Yamashita (aka Yamapi) will be part of a new temporary unit along with Thai pop stars Golf and Mike. The unit will be called "kitty GYM" - the letters GYM come from the names Golf, Yamashita, and Mike, while also representing the fact that the group will be promoting the Women's Volleyball World Grand Prix, which runs from August 18 to September 10. The new unit will also include 4 other members from Johnny's Jr.

Nintendo announced that the DS Lite will soon be available in the color "Noble Pink". The new color will go on sale in Japan on July 20, 2006.
