Novelist Banana Yoshimoto's "Argentine Hag" will be turned into a movie, scheduled for next spring. Naoki Nagao will direct the film, and the cast includes Koji Yakusho, Kyoka Suzuki, and Maki Horikita.

13-year-old Mirai Shida (The Queen's Classroom) is set to star in a new Nihon TV drama series this fall. Tentatively titled "14-year-old Mother," the series tells the story of a middle schooler who finds herself pregnant. Not sure what to do, she faces opposition from everyone around her. Although the topic is sure to generate a lot of controversy, NTV producer Ken Murase said that they are prepared to deal with the comments and criticism. The program will air on Wednesdays at 10:00pm.

At Otakon, DramaQueen announced the acquisition of Not/Love, Invoke, and Omen. DQ also licensed two manhwa, Peter Panda and Promise.
