Mangaka/talento Yoshikazu Ebisu will be getting married early next year. His fiancee is a woman he met three years ago.

Actor Atsushi Ito has landed the lead role in a Fuji TV documentary drama tentatively titled "Senjou no Yuubinhaitatsu" (which translates as "Battlefield Postman"). The drama is based on the story of a real person who risked his life during WWII to deliver letters between Iwo Jima soldiers and their families. The drama will air at 9:00pm on December 9.

Former Do As Infinity vocalist Tomiko Van will star in a production of the Broadway musical, "Brooklyn." The musical will begin running on February 18 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space.

Actress Saki Aibu will be playing the voice of Miyako Mangetsu in the upcoming film, "Doraemon the Magic 2007." The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in March.

NEWS members Yuya Tegoshi and Takahisa Masuda have formed a new duo, known as "Tegomasu." The group first debuted in Sweden with the sale of their first single, "Miso Soup," on the 15th. The single comes in two versions, Japanese and English, and will be released in Japan on December 20.
