Singer Yoko Ishida has been announced as a performance guest for Daigacon 2007. The convention will be held on March 2-4 at the Holiday Inn in Bowling Green, KY.

Actress Yuko Takeuchi (currently still in divorce proceedings against Shido Nakamura) will take on the lead role in the upcoming action/suspense film "Midnight Eagle" (directed by Izuru Narushima). Part of the film takes place in the Hida Mountains. The movie will be produced with cooperation from both the JGSDF and the JASDF.

Takeuchi plays a weekly photo tabloid reporter who covers fields such as politics and business. At the same time, she raises the child of her dead sister, while wavering between feelings of love and hate for her brother-in-law. She eventually becomes involved in an incident threatening the nation's safety.

Hiroshi Tamaki and Eisaku Yoshida will co-star with Takeuchi. The movie is scheduled to open in December.
