43-year-old comedian Masaru Maeda (of the duo Tee Up) has revealed that he will become a father next year. His wife, 31, is expected to give birth next May. The couple has been married since April 2007.

Actor Haruhiko Kato, 33, and Chukyo TV announcer Sayuri Honda, 31, have separated. The two began dating after appearing together on "24 Hour Television" two years ago, and many speculated that they were headed for marriage. But sources say they broke up at the start of this year due to personality differences, among other reasons.

Actor Hiroshi Fuse and actress Hiro Komura are said to be getting a divorce. Once considered one of the industry's most happily married couples, the pair have been together since 1992 and have three sons. But at the end of last month, Komura's lawyer initiated divorce proceedings.

This past April, Komura revealed on television that she and Fuse have been separated since 2006, apparently caused by disagreements over how to care for their parents. The children currently live with Komura, and it appears that she will be given custody in the event of a divorce.

It is said that Komura has made up her mind. Depending on the negotiation process, the pair may get divorced as early as this month.

32-year-old actor Takuma Otoo, a member of the troupe TEAM NACS, is getting married to 30-year-old actress Seina Kasugai. The news was announced on their official websites on Saturday, though a specific wedding date was not given.

Otoo, along with Yo Oizumi and three other actors, has been part of TEAM NACS since the group's start. His television roles include "Abarenbo Mama," "Binbou Danshi," and "Sumire Sixteen!!"

Kasugai got her big break in 1997 when she was chosen as the Unitika Swimwear Campaign model. She has been active as a stage actress but has also been in dramas such as "Byakuyakou" and "Kuitan 2."

Idoling!!! has been chosen to do the image song for the robotics event Robo Japan 2008, taking place in Yokohama on October 11-13. The tune, called "Tokimeki DREAMing!!!," is planned for release as a single in November.

Actor Shun Shioya will be starring in a project titled "Tenshi Kyubin: Reboot." It is actually the follow-up to a web-based movie released in 2004 that Shioya also appeared in. "Reboot," however, will also be turned into a theatrical movie and a drama series.

Shioya plays Yuki, a motorcycle-riding delivery boy, who gains the power to slow down time, but at the same time is given the task of saving people in trouble. His accomplices are his girlfriend Megumi Yasu and his older co-worker Kohki Okada.

"Reboot" launches with a limited-release movie on October 4, followed by a BS-i television series that will air Saturday nights at 11:30pm, starting on October 11. Internet video will begin distribution after that.
