40-year-old actress Aya Sugimoto has found herself a new lover. This week's issue of "FRIDAY" includes an article in which she reveals that she has been dating a 45-year-old company manager for about a year.

Media company Label Mobile has released its 2008 rankings for chaku-uta downloads, based on data from December 1 of last year to November 30 of this year. According to the rankings, the biggest hit of the year was Thelma Aoyama's "Soba ni Iru ne," which was #1 in six different formats.
"Soba ni Iru ne" topped the Chaku-Uta Full list, ahead of GReeeeN's "Kiseki" and Hikaru Utada's "Prisoner of Love." On the regular Chaku-Uta list, Aoyama and GReeeeN were again #1 and #2, but Kimaguren's "LIFE" edged out Utada for the #3 spot.
Aoyama's song also ranked highest in the video clip, chakushin movie, chakushin melody, and RBT formats. In addition, it ranked #1 on the Recochoku's "InTheGroove" site, which focuses on club music.

Current Pocky Princess Shiori Kutsuna will make her movie debut next spring in "Shugotenshi," the latest effort from director Yuichi Sato ("Kisaragi"). The film first made the news back in May, when it was revealed to be the first starring role for comedian Cunning Takeyama.
The 15-year-old Kutsuna plays the tragic heroine, a high school girl who winds up involved in an internet crime and is abducted. The protagonist, played by Takeyama, is a useless salaryman who falls in love with her during his commute to work, and who ends up rescuing her. Through his heroic deed, he wins back the love of his wife (Shinobu Terajima).
In addition to her Pocky ads, Kutsuna is the current Mascot Girl for Unitika. She already has some acting experience in television dramas, including last season's "Taiyou to Umi no Kyoushitsu."
"Shugotenshi" is scheduled to open this coming spring.

Korean group TVXQ will be making their big screen debut in an upcoming movie based on a Japanese manga. Adapted from Masahito Soda's ballet-themed "Subaru," the film was first announced in November 2007 with Meisa Kuroki as the star.
The members of TVXQ will appear in one scene in which Kuroki's character visits a bar. They are said to have no speaking lines, but will perform on a stage during the scene. In addition, their song "Bolero" will be used as the movie's theme.
The movie, produced by Bill Kong and directed by Hong Kong's Chi-Ngai Lee, opens on March 20. "Bolero" will go on sale in January, before the movie's premiere.

CHAGE (of CHAGE and ASKA) has become a father at the age of 50. On Thursday, he wrote in his blog that his 39-year-old wife Mieko gave birth to a healthy baby boy on November 28. At the time the child was born, CHAGE was in the middle of a solo concert in Shinjuku.
Mieko, a former radio host, has been married to CHAGE since 2001.

The next "Kamen Rider" series, titled "Kamen Rider Decade," premieres on TV Asahi on January 25. During a press conference for the show on Thursday, it was announced that Gackt will be providing the theme song.
The title of the song was not announced, but the single's release has been scheduled for the spring. This is Gackt's first time singing for a tokusatsu series.
