The third and final installment in the live-action "20th Century Boys" movie trilogy is set to premiere on August 29. It has now been announced that in order to keep the ending a secret, the final 10 minutes of the two-and-a-half-hour film will not be shown in any previews before the release date.

Approximately 40 advance screenings for the press are scheduled to start in late July, but all of them will screen a shortened version of the film without the last ten minutes. The ending is said to be different from the ending in the original manga, and will reveal the true nature of the "Friend" organization. The final scenes will also feature the introduction of key characters whose cast members have not yet been revealed.

In order to maintain as much secrecy as possible, two versions of the film's manuscript were prepared, one with the ending and one without. The complete script was given only to the actors appearing in the final scenes. One producer further stated that the scenes would be significantly modified after filming, reducing the number of people with knowledge of the full story to only about 10 people.

Actress and screenwriter Yuri Nakae (35) is returning to her roots as a singer after 16 years. She is forming a trio with two other screenwriters: Junko Emoto (30), who worked on "Shiori to Shimiko no Kaiki Jikenbo," and Eriko Shinozaki (41), whose credits include the drama series "Kurosagi."

The unit is called Bikyakuren, short for Bijin Kyakuhonka Renmei ("beautiful writers guild"). The name is a play on the Nikyakuren, which is the Writers Guild of Japan.

All three have written for BS-TBS's popular "Tokyo Shojo" drama franchise. That show's producer, Tamon Andrew Niwa, assessed their singing abilities and decided to produce their new unit.

Nakae made her debut as an idol singer in 1991 with the song "Hana wo Kudasai" and released her last single in 1993. Emoto also put out a single of her own in 2004, and Shinozaki studied music in college.

Bikyakuren will make their performance debut on August 27. Their first song is a slow balled titled "Mata Ne," expected to be released as a chaku-uta around the same time.

Model Nozomi Sasaki (21) has her first starring role in the movie "Tenshi no Koi," directed by Yuri Kanchiku. The film is adapted from the popular mobile phone novel of the same name that was published in book form last year.

Written by an author under the name "sin," the story revolves around a 17-year-old high school girl named Rio (Sasaki) whose traumatic past has led her to close off her heart. After meeting a 35-year-old university lecturer and falling in love, she learns to get her life back on track. Sasaki's role will deal with issues such as rape, abortion, and compensated dating.

"Tenshi no Koi" has been referred to as the "teen love Bible," surpassing previous mobile phone novel successes like "Koizora" and "Akai Ito." It has reached 13 million page views, compared to the 6 million of "Koizora" and 8 million of "Akai Ito." The first edition of the printed book became a bestseller at 500,000 copies.

Sasaki barely made her acting debut last year in the movie "Handsome Suit," in which she played a model. "Tenshi no Koi" is expected to be quite a leap for her, but she seemed optimistic about the part, saying, "I don't know much about acting, but I can sympathize with Rio facing her painful past and living positively."

"Tenshi no Koi" is scheduled to open in theaters this winter.
