Veteran actor Tetsuo Ishidate suddenly died of an aneurysm on Friday. He was found collapsed at his home in Shizuoka by a friend he was living with, and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was 64.
In 1961, Ishidate entered training for the Haiyuza theater company. He made his television drama debut in 1963, and three years later, he became a member of the Bungakuza troupe. He gained popularity after appearing in dramas such as “Okusama wa 18-sai” and “Papa to Yobanaide.”
