Actress Shingyoji divorced, bankrupt

Actress Kimie Shingyoji (49) has been divorced since 2005, it was learned on Friday. She had been married to designer and former The Tempters drummer Hiroshi Oguchi (57) since 1983.

In 1991, the clothing company that Oguchi had been running went bankrupt, and Shingyoji fully returned to show business in order to provide for the family. But ten years later, the couple had begun living separately for financial reasons, and two years later they ended their 22-year marriage. In 2006, Oguchi’s business ventures fell apart, and Shingyoji also declared bankruptcy.

Shingyoji’s agency announced that the actress is publishing a book describing the ups and downs of her life so far.
