Ai Kato breaks up with soccer player

Actress Ai Kato and soccer player Koji Nakata have apparently broken up after several years of dating. Their relationship was first rumored in 2004. Last June, the couple was photographed by a weekly magazine, and shortly after that Kato confirmed they were dating.

Sources close to the pair say they ended the relationship, even though some in the media were reporting earlier this year that marriage was not far off.

Kato’s agency has said that the actress is currently in New York, and that they have not yet heard anything from her about a breakup.
