Ai Takahashi to star in “Q.E.D.” drama

Hello! Project’s official website has announced that Morning Musume leader Ai Takahashi will be starring in a drama series next year. The drama is an adaptation of the detective manga “Q.E.D. ~Shomei Shuryo~” by Motohiro Kato.

Takahashi stars as Kana, a cheerful and energetic high schooler. She meets Toma (played by actor Aoi Nakamura), a young prodigy who graduated from a prestigious American university at the age of 15. Together, they solve various mysteries.

The cast also includes Ken Ishiguro. 10 episodes are planned, airing from January 8 to March 12 in NHK’s Thursday 8:00pm time slot. The series will also air on BS-hi at 6:00pm.
