The 8th season of the hit detective series “Aibou” has been confirmed to start this fall. Along with Yutaka Mizutani (57), the show will star Mitsuhiro Oikawa (39), who took over as Mizutani’s partner after Yasufumi Terawaki (47) left last season.
The “Aibou” series has been popular ever since its start in 2002. With more than 100 episodes aired, the show finally surpassed 20% ratings with multiple episodes last season. The theatrically-released movie was also one of 2008′s biggest hits, earning over 4.4 billion yen.
