Aki Higashihara marrying judo fighter

Talento Aki Higashihara (25) is getting married to judo athlete Kosei Inoue (29). They announced that they will register their marriage on Tuesday, followed by a press conference at the Kanagawa campus of Tokai University, Inoue’s alma mater.

The two met through a television show in July 2003, in which Higashihara interviewed Inoue. Their relationship grew, and they were first discovered as a couple in November 2004.

Inoue is one of the world’s top fighters in the under-100kg weight class. In 2000, he won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.
