Last week, Mainichi WaiWai reported that actress Akiko Yada’s career may be in trouble because of pictures of her on a weekend trip in Hawaii with boyfriend Manabu Oshio. Although the photos seem innocent enough – for example, Yada pouring suntan lotion on Oshio’s back – they’re a far cry from her image of being a proper lady, especially given Oshio’s bad boy reputation.
It seems the scandal has already cost her one job. Yada has appeared in commercials for the insurance company Aflac since 2002, but her contract won’t be renewed after it expires at the end of the month. Some predict that Yada’s career is over unless she breaks up with Oshio.
