Rock band Anzen Chitai is starting up again after a six-year hiatus. The group, fronted by Koji Tamaki (51), was very popular during the ’80s but has been inactive since the end of 2003, due to differences of opinion among the five members.
Tamaki has also been successful as a solo artist. However, in 2008 he went on break because of chronic pancreatitis, and last year he had a brief marriage with actress Mariko Ishihara (now known as Mari Ishihara). In the fall, he regained his health and rounded up his former bandmates to record a new song, titled “Aoi Bara.”
