Actor Atsushi Ito has landed the lead role in a Fuji TV documentary drama tentatively titled “Senjou no Yuubinhaitatsu” (which translates as “Battlefield Postman”). The drama is based on the story of a real person who risked his life during WWII to deliver letters between Iwo Jima soldiers and their families. The drama will air at 9:00pm on December 9.
