Avex again plans shareholders’ meeting at Super Arena

Entertainment company Avex Group Holdings has announced that this year’s shareholders’ meeting will again be held at the Saitama Super Arena. The event had been held at the Tokyo International Forum since 2001, but last year Avex moved it to the much larger Super Arena in honor of the company’s 20 years as a publicly traded business.

Nearly 9,000 shareholders attended last year’s meeting, which featured a special concert by 12 of Avex’s biggest acts, including Namie Amuro, Kumi Koda, and TRF. While that meeting allowed shareholders to bring a guest, this year will reportedly be limited to shareholders only. It will also be a smaller concert with only 6 to 7 artists performing, though the participants are apparently not being announced beforehand. The meeting is scheduled for June 28.
