Ayame Koike leads new idol group

Management agency Office JR has created a new idol group comprised of four junior high girls. The group, which is currently unnamed, made their public debut at an event on Saturday.

The unit’s leader is actress Ayame Koike (14), who has appeared in the movies “Sakuran” and “Always: Zoku Sanchome no Yuhi.” The other three members are actress Chisa Okada (12), model Yuka Matsuda (13), and actress Rei Kawashima (13).

Their first CD single is planned for release by the end of this year. Office JR is currently accepting suggestions for the group’s name.
