“Byakuyakou” movie in the works

Film distribution company Gaga Communications announced its 2010-2011 lineup on Wednesday. Among the titles revealed is a planned adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s suspense novel “Byakuyakou,” which has sold more than 1.8 million copies to date.

The “Byakuyakou” movie would be the first big screen adaptation of the novel. So far, the book has been turned into a television drama in 2006, starring Takayuki Yamada (26) and Haruka Ayase (24), and a Korean movie in 2009.

However, Gaga’s announcement did not yet have any details regarding the director or the cast for the movie.
