In album sales, Akanishi Jin’s American debut mini-album “TEST DRIVE featuring JASON DERULO” took the #1 spot with more than 108,000 copies sold. This is Akanishi’s second consecutive #1 release as a solo artist, after his debut single “Eternal” this past March.
The last time that a Japanese artist took #1 on the Japanese sales charts with an American debut work was in 2004, when Utada Hikaru released her album “Exodus.”
