Charts: B’z reaches 20

The band B'z dominated the charts with their newest single, “Ichibu to Zenbu / DIVE.” 181,000 copies of the single were sold this past week to take the #1 spot, which extends several records for them. One such record is the “most consecutive years with a #1 single,” which they have now set at 20.

UVERworld came in at #2, followed by Shingo Katori at #3, under the name “Ryo-san” from the “Kochikame” drama series. GIRL NEXT DOOR was not far behind (#4), and neither was SKE48 with their major-label debut (#5). Owarai collective Red Theaters also made the top ten (#7), along with Alice Nine (#8) and Base Ball Bear (#9).

In albums, Kobukuro claimed #1 with the limited edition of “CALLING,” which sold 231,000 copies. SPEED, Eikichi Yazawa, and ORANGE RANGE took the next three slots, in that order. Singer Noa entered the charts at #8, while an “Idolmaster” album landed at #10.
