Charts: Kumi Koda, aiko

It was a close battle on the album sales charts this week, but Kumi Koda came out on top with her new album, “BEST ~third universe~ & 8th AL UNIVERSE.” She led the way with almost 222,000 copies sold, but Kaela Kimura’s “5years” was not far behind at 216,000 copies sold.

Hip-hop group RHYMESTER had the only other new album in the top ten, landing at #5 with their “Manifesto.”

In singles, aiko achieved her second #1 with “Modorenai Ashita,” selling 58,000. She was joined in the top ten by plenty of other new releases, coming from Yuzu, flumpool, Shota Shimizu x Miliyah Kato, TOKIO, SCANDAL, Buono!, and ONE OK ROCK.
