Comedian Daikichi Hakata married

36-year-old comedian Daikichi Hakata has gotten married, it was learned on Thursday. Daikichi is one half of the rising manzai duo Hakata Hanamaru Daikichi.

Daikichi’s wife is a 34-year-old from the Miyazaki Prefecture. They began dating 12 years ago after being introduced to each other by a friend. Daikichi began seriously considering marriage after the comedy duo moved to Tokyo in 2005.

The couple registered the marriage on November 18 and are already living together in Tokyo. Plans for a ceremony or reception have not been made yet.
