“Cowboy Bebop” going live-action?

Anime News Network has spotted a report that 20th Century Fox is working on a live-action movie version of the hit anime series “Cowboy Bebop.”

The project, being developed by producer Erwin Stoff, is still in its early stages. Stoff has producer credits on “A Scanner Darkly” and “The Matrix,” among other films.

Bandai Entertainment, which distributed the original 1998 series in the U.S., has not commented on the report.
