D-BOYS to make “CD debut”

Acting group D-BOYS has announced that it will be releasing a CD and DVD collection called “Natsudoko 2009″ on December 16. D-BOYS has previously put out several DVDs, but these CDs will be its first audio recording releases.

This summer, D-BOYS held a live event at the Akiba Plaza titled “Kotoshi no Natsu wa Mainichi Dokoka de D-BOYS.” The event went on for more than a month and consisted of 49 performances, including impromptu theater, song, and dance. The CDs being released contain recordings from the event, such as their sound-only “Audio Theater” performances.

“Natsudoko 2009″ will have 3 CDs and 2 DVDs. It will be released under the group name “D-BOYS (+ Yu Shirota!),” indicating the participation of actor Yu Shirota (23), who ostensibly graduated from D-BOYS in July 2008.

After the collection goes on sale, D-BOYS will be visiting major cities across the country to hold release events.
