DAIGO to star in “Little Shop of Horrors”

Musician DAIGO (31) is taking on his first stage role next spring. He will headline a new production of the musical “Little Shop of Horrors,” scheduled to run at the Honda Theater in Tokyo from May 13 to May 30.

As an actor, DAIGO has only appeared in a couple of television dramas, including the series “Love Shuffle” that aired this past winter. In “Little Shop of Horrors,” DAIGO is starring as the main character Seymour, a florist who ends up raising a plant that feeds on human blood. Previous Japanese productions of the musical have starred Hiroyuki Sanada, Takanori Nishikawa, and Koji Yamamoto in that same role.

DAIGO’s supporting cast features Natsumi Abe (28) as Seymour’s love interest Audrey, actor Shinya Niiro, and singer Isao Bitoh.
