Daughter of Tunnels’ Ishibashi to debut as actress

Comedian Takaaki Ishibashi (Tunnels) now has an actress for a daughter. 19-year-old Honoka, born from Ishibashi’s previous marriage, has been cast in the international film “The Harimaya Bridge,” which stars Bennet Guillory and Saki Takaoka.

Honoka had been listed as a cast member since the movie was announced in May, but it had not been publicized that she is Ishibashi’s daughter. Her role is said to be a junior high student who serves as a key piece of the story’s puzzle.

The movie, directed by Aaron Woolfolk and produced by Danny Glover, is opening in Japan next summer.
