DJ OZMA faces potential blacklisting

One of the big stories from the recent Kohaku Uta Gassen was DJ OZMA’s overly inappropriate performance. He was surrounded by female dancers wearing costumes that made them appear nude. Viewers called NHK to complain, and the station has received approximately 750 complaints as of Monday.

This isn’t the first time a performer has included a surprise during the popular year-end music show, but it appears that DJ OZMA’s stunt went too far.

NHK posted an apology on its official website. There is also talk of DJ OZMA potentially being blacklisted by the station.
