Drummer arrested for sex crime with child

The drummer for the rock band JELLY→ has been arrested as of Monday. 29-year-old Kohei Shimizu is facing charges of abduction and forced indecency for an incident involving a young girl.

According to a police investigation, Shimizu was driving a station wagon in the Suginami ward of Tokyo on the afternoon of September 9. He stopped the car and attacked a female elementary school student walking on the street, pulling her into the car. He then used a digital camera to take pictures of the girl before releasing her about five minutes later.

Shimizu reportedly admitted to the police that he has an interest in young girls.

The band JELLY→ originally formed in Nagoya in 1995 and released their first major label single in 1999.
