Ebizo, Mao preparing for wedding

Actor Ebizo Ichikawa (32) and announcer Mao Kobayashi (27) held a press conference on Friday to publicly announce their engagement and talk about their wedding plans.

The relationship was first publicized in November when they notified the media of their intention to get engaged. They held their formal engagement ceremony on Christmas Eve, and they are currently deciding on a date for the wedding and reception. Ichikawa stated that they are considering having the wedding around July.

Kobayashi also revealed that she will be leaving her post as a newscaster on NTV’s “NEWS ZERO” at the end of March. She plans on continuing with her other shows if possible.
