“Enta no Kamisama” to end in March

The NTV variety show “Enta no Kamisama” is coming to an end after a seven-year run. The show premiered in April 2003 and will be taken off the air at the end of March 2010.

At one point, the show enjoyed ratings of close to 20%, but in recent years it has faced increasing competition from other comedy-focused shows on rival networks.

NTV will launch a new show for the Saturday 10:00pm time slot starting in April, but the network said that the details have not yet been decided.
