Erina Mano plays herself as spy in new drama

Singer and actress Erina Mano (18) will star in a new drama produced by TBS. Titled “Mano Spy,” the comedic series features Mano playing herself, but under the fictional premise that she is really an undercover agent from England.

In “Mano Spy,” Mano is sent to Japan as a spy for the Queen of England. While concealing her true identity, she ends up passing a talent audition and becoming a popular idol. As a result, she finds it difficult to carry out her espionage duties.

In addition to starring in the show, Mano is handling the theme song, titled “Matsuge no Saki ni Kimi ga Iru.”

Kazuma Sano (20) and Masamitsu Morita (59) have also been cast. TBS will distribute the show online starting on January 26, followed by broadcasts on BS-TBS starting on February 27.
