Japan has selected its representative for the 2010 Miss International competition. More than 3,000 women vied for the title, and of the 29 candidates present at the finals on Sunday, 23-year-old talento Etsuko Kanagae took the tiara.
Originally from Osaka, Kanagae studied in New Zealand during high school. Since entering show business, she has been a regular on ABC TV’s “Ohayou Asahi Desu” and was an assistant on TBS’s “Tokyo Friend Park II.”
