Former Giants pitcher Kazutomo Miyamoto remarries

Commentator and former Yomiuri Giants pitcher Kazutomo Miyamoto, 44, announced on this weekend’s broadcast of “Zoom In!! Saturday” that he has remarried. His wife is 32-year-old buyo dancer Kirara Wakayagi (real name Naoko), who represented Japan in the 1998 Miss Asia Pacific International competition.

The pair met in 2003 through a co-appearance on a television show. They had several common interests, and they soon began dating. The couple officially registered their marriage on Tuesday last week.

Miyamoto was previously married for several years before divorcing in 1996. Since then he has been a single father for his daughter Sayano, now 19, who gave her approval for Miyamoto’s remarriage.
