Fumie Nakajima engaged

Fumie Nakajima (41), once a member of the defunct idol group Shape Up Girls, is now engaged. Her fiance is 45-year-old Akira Watanabe, the owner and chef of the famous pasta house AWkitchen in Tokyo’s Marunouchi district.

Nakajima and Watanabe started dating several years ago, brought together by an affinity for vegetables. Watanabe has been known for traveling to plantations across the country for ingredients, while Nakajima has been strongly interested in health.

Nakajima will be the third of the four Shape Up Girls to get married. Eri Imai (39) tied the knot first in 1999, followed by Mayumi Kajiwara (43) in 2004.
