George Tokoro’s former manager guilty of embezzlement

Weekly magazine Josei Jishin revealed in its latest issue that a former manager of talento George Tokoro was dismissed by his agency last year for embezzlement.

The man had been working for Tokoro’s agency for ten years, handling his commercial contracts. The agency said that approximately 50 million yen was misappropriated over the course of three to four years. When rumors of the embezzlement surfaced, they questioned the man last July and discovered his crime. He was immediately dismissed.

The agency said that it does not plan to prosecute, as the man has said he will repay the money. The matter is currently being handled by their lawyers.
