GQ Men of the Year 2012 include Oda Yuji, Ariyoshi Hiroiki, Kitajima Kosuke
On Monday, GQ Japan presented its 2012 GQ Men of the Year awards. A total of seven men were chosen, including actor Oda Yuji, who celebrated the 25th anniversary of his acting debut this year, as well as the 15th anniversary of the hit “Odoru Daisousasen” franchise that cemented his career.
Besides Oda, the recipients were: swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Kitajima Kosuke; composer and musician Maeyamada Kenichi (also known by the name Hyadain); boxer and Olympic gold medalist Murata Ryota; comedian Ariyoshi Hiroiki; photographer Shinoyama Kishin; and Maezawa Yusaku, the head of the company Start Today (which runs popular shopping site ZOZOTOWN).
GQ Japan also awarded its first GQ Woman of the Year award, which was given to artist and writer Kusama Yayoi.
