Noriyuki Higashiyama will take on his first onnagata role in a production of “Farewell My Concubine,” directed by Yukio Ninagawa. He will star as Cheng Dieyi, with Kenichi Endo playing Xiaolou and Yoshino Kimura playing Juxian.
Performances will run March 9-31 at the Bunkamura Theatre Cocoon in Shibuya, then April 5-13 at Theater Drama City in Osaka.
