Actress Maki Horikita will appear in her first jidaigeki role next year. She has been chosen to co-star with Aoi Miyazaki in NHK’s 2008 taiga drama, “Atsuhime.”
Horikita will play the part of the princess Kazunomiya Chikako, the daughter of Emperor Ninko and the wife of Shogun Tokugawa Iemochi.
