Hosaka to star in daytime drama

Actor Naoki Hosaka, who recently entered the Buddhist priesthood, will star in a Fuji TV daytime drama this fall.

The series, titled “Ai no Meikyu,” depicts a loveless marriage between the heir to a business concern (Hosaka) and a woman from a distinguished family (Maki Miyamoto). Kaori Takahashi plays Hosaka’s mistress, who is the widow of his elder brother.

Other cast members include Mei Kurokawa, Shinnosuke Abe, and Ryunosuke Kawai. The drama will air on weekdays at 1:30pm, starting on October 1.
