Actor Hayato Ichihara has been chosen to star in the action film, “Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge,” based on the popular novel of the same name by Tatsuhiko Takimoto. The movie will be directed by Takuji Kitamura.
Ichihara plays a pessimistic high schooler who meets a mysterious woman (Megumi Seki) and becomes involved in her fight against a chainsaw-wielding man. The movie utilizes a lot of CG effects, which are being handled by Digital Frontier (the company that provided visual effects for the “Death Note” movies).
