Technopop idol trio Perfume will appear in their first commercial starting next month. The ad is part of a public service campaign about recycling and environmental care, jointly sponsored by NHK and the Japan Ad Council. The campaign was first established in 2000, and every year has featured music artists such as Yuzu and Home Made Kazoku.
The commercial will feature them dancing and performing their new single, which will go on sale in September.
Perfume was formed in 2001, when the three female members were in grade school. They finally made their major label debut in 2005.
