Actress Yui Aragaki will be making her debut as a singer, starting with the theme song for "Koisuru Madori," her first film with a starring role. The movie, directed by Akiko Oku, opens in theaters on August 18.
The theme song, "Memories," is a ballad written by singer Ayano Tsuji. It will be available as a "chaku uta" for a limited time (August 6 - September 4) through the website of Tokyo FM's "School of Lock!" (the radio show on which Aragaki serves as a host). The CD release will come later.
Aragaki already has a second song lined up. Titled "heavenly days," it will be an insert song for the movie "Koizora" (out November 3), which Aragaki also stars in.
