23-year-old model Mai Shinohara, who is this year's Asahi Beer Image Girl, will make her acting debut this fall.
Shinohara has been given the lead female role in TV Tokyo's drama adaptation of the "Shigeshoshi" manga by Mitsukazu Mihara. She plays a rookie nurse who becomes attracted to the main character, an embalmer played by Masato Wada.
